What is the mount type for a L reg gsi corsa for the f28, (ie) type 1 or type 2?

gearbox side are all the same its just the engine mounting side wich is type 1 or 2 mate, the older corsa's L,M,N reg pre97 are type 1 and post97 R,S,T,V,W reg are type 2

The gearbox side is different too, And its not a age thing, its a engine thing, 12v and 16v engines are all type 2 shell.

this is true, had to buy a gearbox mount for mine last week and mine was a type 2 , it depends on the engine

Aren't, Type 1 shells have a different front mount (The one changed for F28). Its similar to the engine side mount.
I can give you an idea by this pic stolen from ebay
You can just about see the red bit of the mount, you wouldn't see that if it was type 2.
I would bring it up on EPC too but I'm not at home atm.
So before you go around calling people dicks, get your facts right.

yeh but the engine mount rubber bolted to the chassi are all the same on every year of corsa so if you putting an f28 on a c20xe or c20let and bolt the f28 mount which are all the same it will line up to that rubber mount been there done it on pre and post corsa shells so do know what im ona bowt

aw06 is right. as in the picture what hes put up u can see the mount. type 2 u wont see. so the f28 mount on a type 2 will have the mounting holes to go in the rubber in the middle of the mount roughly. on a type 1 the f28 mount will have the holes right at the top to accomodate the rubber mount being higher up.
ive done 3873 conversions so know what im talking about

2 diffrent mounts depending on which type shell

Unless you have converted/played with a 8v you wouldn't of had any encounter with the type 1 setup.
