got some cesaros i will be refurbing white as they look like they have been brush painted at the moment

will need 4 new tyres as the ones on are too wide so was wondering what to get? i want some that will last a while but also perform well, been looking at either proxes or kumho ku31's, anybody else got any i could look at? they will be 195/45 15's

I Would only ever use toyos.... So proxies all the way

Defo get the rainsports not proxies!

Iv had both and the proxies wernt good in the wet and wore quickly, rainsports are awsome!!

Corsa 1.6 sport - 1

good topic!




i paid £170 for x4 195/45/15 sunnys, banlanced, fitted and even re-valved at your doorstep and i've paid it before.

as for life they take ages to wear down!, even spinnin em, as for performance - not amazing, but what you pay is what you get.

what size is on to be too wide lyk? and how low is the car?

the rears are 205 50 15's and the fronts are something like 160's lol they look shite anyway so deffo going to get some fresh ones

why do people get concerened with how tyres perform in the wet. I personally dont drive fast enough when it raining to test my tyres limits

In the wet is when you will really need your tyres though, and the differences will become apparent, also you dont have to be driving fast, there could be large puddles also and how tyres cope with them

So you've never driven in the wet and had the car slide / lose traction / understeer?

I boot my car in the wet sometimes if I'm on a safe quiet road.

Plus what Mertin said, tyres aren't only for performance when going fast - they also need to perform should you need to swerve suddenly or brake for something.

I've had Proxies T1Ss, px4s, EF1s and I'm currently running 4 Rainsport 2s. The proxies are great in the dry but awful in the wet - was like driving on glass with the px4s. Eagle F1s, I couldn't push them hard enough for them to let go in the wet, let's just say that! And the Rainsports I'm running just now seem like they've got a bit of a soft sidewall - anyone else agree with this? At the same time though, they're great tyres and just about as good as the Michelins.

Eagle F1s if you've not got a budget and you're looking for the best though.

im using the px4 toyos on my corsa and cant fault them yet lol but for the last few years ive been fitting rainsport 2's and rainexperts on all my mates cars and they really rate them

Do you not find that the px4s feel like they're made of butter in the wet davie? Much more prone to spinning up anyway.

EF1 for sure, I've had Px4, T1R, Yoko Parada and EF1 all on the same car. The EF1 were by far the best. I like the paradas though tbh and they are much cheaper.
