If I fitted a short shift would this cure problem, its very close. ONly gear cant fully get into is reverse

On the standard linkage you can bend the upper arm towards the engine slightly so it doesnt hit the rack

i think the answer is in the question "short shift" will close the ratio of how far you move gear linkage so linkage wont move as far
