i currently have just a backbox on my car but want it to be a bit louder, if i get a straight through pipe will it be any louder?

p.s: im not interested in de-catting or removing any silencers :]

mine sounds pretty good but i have a sportex centre pipe with silencer and 4" oval backbox sounds nice but im sure that dancorsasxi has just the 4" oval backbox and he said his sounds good im sure he sadi that somewhere but not 100% sure and what backbox is it you got atm?

ive got a sportex twin pipe dtm style backbox, im lookin at the same centre pipe uve got

A straight through pipe means having no silencer in the mid section mate

If you want it louder then stick a straight through on, but bear in mind it will be a lot louder.

Why "may as well remove the cat"? It's just more expense that is unnecessary (that he also says he doesn't want to do) plus the extra work.

Id just put a sportex centre pipe on there! And i think, i may stand corrected as im not 100% on this law, but i think you can have a straight through with a cat! Not tooo sure though :/
