Would you choose and why?
My situation - £10k to spend, Running/servicing/maintenance costs are not an issue.
Option 1 - Astra VXR
Always wanted one but am afraid i would get bored of the power. Ideally i would like to buy a tuned one.
Option 2 - Focus ST-3
Also fancied one of these but i think its the Electric Orange and the 5 Cylinder noise thats tempting me towards these. How tunable are these? Im guessing similar to the VXR?
Option 3 - E46 330Ci Clubsport
Love the look of these and the fact they are quite rare. Also potentially a more sensible previous owner history. Preferably the facelift model.
Option 4 - E46 M3 Coupe
This is ultimately the one i really want but with a budget of £10k i can only get an 'OK' car for the money.
They all have there faults and things that can go wrong. I.e VXR Gearbox etc. Also im thinking if i got the 330Ci i think i would constantly be regretting not getting the superior M3?
Discuss.....

I'm definately not going over the £10k budget. An M3 is possible there are a few nice ones for sub £10k
Am going to view this tomorrow: http://www.bigmotoringworld.co.uk/used-cars-kent/BMW/10/M3/238/used_car_bmw_m3_coupe_27186.htm

m3 if you can get one, otherwise get the focus st3. they are very reliable and a remap will take you to 270bhp. fmic, cais and exhaust will take you up to nigh on 300bhp.

M3 without a doubt, if you can afford to buy, run and maintain it it's the best car there

TBF my mates M3 keeps with my other mates 380bhp Scoob no problem. The M3 is a very underestimated car imo, usually because the initial boost isnt felt from the N/A Engine

I just think the M3 looks a bit dated now. Theres no doubt there very good cars, my mates got a very nice one for sale just now but everytime we had a bit of sport the outcome was the same lol. Plus I hate the way they sound very raspy/tinny lol.
If in your face looks isnt what your after then an orange focus isnt really for you lol. The astra is pretty wild lookin as well.

I work 2 miles down the road so i will be cycling unless the weather is horrific. Sometimes ill pop out on an evening in the week and mainly just use it for weekends.
Also an M3 is a perfect daily driver imo.

This. That M3 is horrid. Grey with red leather on anthracite CLS's for me
How about a Golf GTi? Not quite enough for an Edition 30 but the Golf will hold its money better than a VXR and you'll get a less shabby Golf than M3 for that money.
