So as you may know, I am collecting the 1:18 scale Escort Cosworth's and I decided to do a little project with a cheap one I picked up on eBay. Here it is:

It started off as an average condition Dark Blue model:

Which I soon stripped:

Then got some 17" BBS style rims:

And even some new brakes!!

The shell was then sanded, primed and sprayed in Ford Jewel Violet:

Then came the Laquer:

I then decided to add a carbon roof and splitter:

Then after some carefully alligned wheels I reasembled into the final article:

and a few shots of the collection so far:

That's cool as fcuk and is a decent collection, wouldnt mind doing something like that myself and sticking to the one type of car. Not too keen on the roof, other than that though it looks spot on!

A few weeks back I bought a cheap minichamps Sierra and took a UT Calibra TC apart, made a track inspired Sierra. It looks well on the hslef with the other 2 cossies.

You can get anything these days for scale modification, have a look on the model motorvation forums, they also make parts.

That's quality. the big weave carbon fibre let's it down a bit though, should remove it altogether or replace it with small weave modelling stuff..

I know nothing about models, how did ou know the wheels would fit? Is it a case of glueing them on? Or is a it a kit you can "mod" as such

They're pretty cool, but must agree with the CF thing. Love the red one and the rally one.

Have been thinking about getting some models myself recently, threads like this only motivate me more lol
