Do any if you know or had a birds neat removed from your chimney?
We've got 'carpet bugs' coming through the fireplace and vent in the bedroom from the chimney, the only real way to get rid of them is to have the nest itself fully removed!
Any info on anything??

Get it swept. Get someone to put a wire mesh over the top of the chimney outlet or pot depending on what you have.
Won't be visible from the ground but will stop birds getting in.

The nest needs to physically be removed.

Lighting the fire can be dangerous. You can set the next alight which would fall into the fireplace = sparks and shit everywhere.
You should always get a chimney swept after the summer before using it in the winter.

I think any heating engineer can do this for you.
Your best to have a cowl put on your chimney pot if it hasn't already got one on it.
