Why is it soooo hard!

I've decided I want something different to the Audi, will probably sell in the summer.

My mind is changing every few hours! Started off thinking about a Mk5 Golf or Mk2 A3, then thought about going cheaper with another Mk4 Ibiza, now just been looking at prices of Mk5 Ibizas, plus a wild card of a Astra 1.9cdti sri

Does this happen to every one?

Don't ever have a car you've crashed before, I made a mistake with that one.

Get something different to a Polo/Golf in any guise.

it's been happening to me for a year

really can't decide what i want.

small quick hatch thats great on the twisties

or

big quick turbo hatch that isn't as good handling wise but suits motorway lazy driving better.

for me its always a toss between the good looking classy street-cred diesel

or the very frugal supermarket trolley loving lady-like diesel hatch which will save me ££££££s in costs.

but then i dont have the feel-good factor when driving it.

hmm.....

depends which one you go for.

i wouldnt say feels old - if you get the high spec ones they can feel very nice. especially if its an R32.

but look wise.... i can see why you say that because of the squareishness of them. even still, im a fan.

mk5s have treated me very badly and for that i HATE them.

i had a mk4 anni golf tdi. i loved it.

R32 suspension setup and brakes, fabulous, and MPG to go with it ! perfect!

but the preious owners messed around with a remap 200bhp and it was soon losing water, (head gasket issue), so i had to get rid.

but anni golfs still look amazing today.

a polished up black one with the chrome 18" rims, you;d definitely give it a second look.

i dont underatand why they didnt make a TDI version of the Edition 30

especially as the 25th anniversary did so well in tdi.

I feel your pain as many will know on here how many times i changed my mind on certain cars.

Im still like this with my B whether to keep or just get rid as it will cost me around 2k in all to keep it for a year and only will get used once or twice a week at the most.

Your the first person who I've seen/heard with that opinion. Everyone says the Mk5 is a massive improvement, 2.0's are supposed to 'drive more like a petrol' compared to the 1.9.

I wouldn't have a Mk4, as I might as well keep my A3!

Obviously, but i mean it closer to a petrol than the pd lump it replaced in the way how it does have really low down torque and revs abit more.

Wanna bet

The mk4 golfs were one of the worst cars for things going wrong.

I don't like anything about mk4 Golfs. Anni ones look nice and the R32 sounds good and looks special with the kit etc but that's as far as they go for me.
