Tbh he winds me up...on pitch he gives it out but can't take it back.
But he's quality. And should easily be in England squad.
His past is preventing him which is wrong. Look at Carroll. He's bound to end up worse than Barton off field but he's in squad.
And Rooney is a fucking cunt too but Capello bums him.
He's right about Barry too. He's overrated imo and I can imagine him being a proper arse licker.
Saying Wilshere "isn't bad " is a piss take tho.

I wouldn't mention Wilshere when talking about players not being able to take it. Wilshere seems to bitch more than most
I'd say Barton is getting much better with his control (bar the Pedersen incident this year). Look at the first game against Wolves where Karl Henry's sole intent the whole game was to try and get a reaction

Wilshere is a class act. Barton saying he "isn't bad" is a joke. He's far better than Barton.
I don't see wilshere bitching but see it more as giving a shit, which is refreshing in our current squad.

Come off it, Lampard is one of the best midfielders around, how many others are scoring as many goals as him from midfield as consistently as him? Gerrard is still good. The Barry bit I agree with.

I just think it shows a total lack of respect for his fellow countrymen by him saying what he's said whether you think he is right or wrong.

Gerrard and lampard are still class.
Barton definatley should be in England squad tho.
I've never been convinced about Barry. Maybe i've not watched him enough or maybe he's really inconsistant but i'm not a fan. Downing is the same.

And here lies the reason why he's making these statement in the press rather than showing what he can do with an Ingurland shirt on. There's no disputing he's a good player, but not many managers will want a bad egg in the squad, unless they are better than just 'good'.

Considering Gerrard and Lampard have been crocked alot over last year its suprising Barton hasn't had a sniff.

Nah Hargreaves was a proper destroyer, nothing too fancy but very effective in a side that needs that type of player.

Barton will never be even a tenth of Lampard no matter how much fight, heart and desire he has.
Lampard is a centre midfielder with the goals return of a striker, he was the midfielder other box to box midfielders tried/try to emulate.
