Came back yesterday.... dead god i was knackered.
Anyway, 4 of us went to Lac Dur that has recently opened... The chaps who were on it the first week it opened had 50 fish as our aim was to beat it.
We not only beat if we smashed it - 85 fish in one week.
I had 10 doubles, 13 twenties, 2 thirties and a 40lb stergeon!
Mate had the lake record of 49lb 8oz and other mate has another 2 40's
Anyway some pictures
Few of the pictures from last week

Some of those fish remind me of that character from Futurama - forgot his name, but he's red and looks a bit like Homer Simpson?

Lake was only £800 for the week for 4 of us but i took 120kgs of bait and i upgraded my rods/reels for brand new ones before i went so was quiet an expense week but worth it.... going back next year for sure. Also getting to dive the place in the winter as they are doing work parties

I'm considering going for shimanos next but I'm swaying more towards daiwas ATM. Carping gear is way too expensive which is why I fish 3 rods not 4!

I was looking at the Diawa Windcast Z's but still prefer the Shimano baitrunners... my old ones lasted about 8 years! haha

My mate loves his shimanos, he has the 10000 xta's I think they're called. I had a go of some diawa big pits recently and I loved them. I really fancy the basia qdx's but they cost a bomb!

I currency have fox stratos fs10000's, they are the worst reels I've ever used! 2 out of 3 have been replaced by fox as the drag broke on both. They look good but thats all.
