i have a classic mini and ive tried to replace the ball joints, one is stuck, where its tapped in it wont come out ive undone the bolt and ive wacked it loads but still nothing

has anyone got any tips or any body reccomend a decent penetrating oil?

give a good soak in loads of wd40 for some time then as billy_t15 said, blow torch


get some pix up of the mini, lovely cars.

rites! as long as its left to soak for ages, it wont expload. the wd40 will just burn away hella quick but will have soaked in well

make sure u drill a hole in the top of the ball joint first! i know a guy who lost a knuckle when heating it!

Heat it up loads then get a bar to apply pressure, then tip some cold water on it. Works for me and it worked to get a fly wheel off a mini.

no circlip just a nut and washer, the drivers side came straight out with one wack, but ive soaked the passenger side in wd40 for ages and ive wacked it so much its deformed, still not come loose

I had one like this on my corsa, one side was fine, other I had to use two different ball joint spilitters in the end.

I can't even remember technique i used

Hit the hub casting around the threaded bit not the threaded bit it's self and hit it like a man not a girl.
