been living in this house with the lady-friend and our daughter for just over two years now.
i grew up in it some of my younger years as it was my grandparents house, then my mother inherited it, now we pay her rent (no family discounts!)

i dont really get on with her much, never really have but were are we supposed to draw the line between family and landlord

were do i stand....

we got the loft insulation done and shes still left her crap out the loft all over our bathroom and the little-uns room, its been done for well over a week

and we told her about this months ago...

anyone renting a house have problem worse than this?

If I had damp, and had a small child I'd be going insane,
Surely she should care about the well being of her granddaughter.

Assuming your daughter is a youngen here lol.

Boxes of junk could easilly be resolved with a few runs to the tip.

But considering the mould & the shit decor i'd be legging it & renting somewhere better!!

Sorry,

I read that as you had the roof insulated and the stuff in the pics was the gear that was stored in the loft space.

How is a council house better? Because you get it subsidised?

JedDy, if it bothered you that much...and I don't mean to offend, but grow a pair and tell the bitch to move her shit, when you pay for a rented house, it's yours for that month, her shit doesn't need to be all over it. Had some awful experiences with landlords, must have lost about a grand in deposits (2 deposits)

Probably, its certainly not the way to look at it, there are more needy people out there than yourself who has managed to rent privately for however many months.

Look around, there are plenty of great flats or houses for £400 a month in Lincoln, let alone more northern places. If you dont get on with your mum let your wallet do the talking, to rent that out to non-family would be impossible, especially at full price

been in a council house before when i lived up stanley, shite area, people knocking at the door asking for tin foil and that. hated it, but if i could of picked that house up and put it in a better area i would of

rents cheaper
you can decorate without asking permission
it feels more like your own
you haven't got the interference of a landlord
if anything needs doing they do it asap...

our rented house has subsidence quite bad
