Someone could say £500 then someone could say £2785, your quote could be £5000 or £500. The only way you'll know is to do a quote.

I wouldnt bother mate, wont build any no claims yourself then. Putting your dad on a policy in your name as a named driver may bring it down a bit.

Where?

He's right. In fact I would have said £5k.

It's not smart arsed, it's the reality of being young in a modified car with no driving history.

I've been driving for nearly as long as you've been alive and I wouldn't expect to pay less than a grand, and that's with a garage and bonus.

Cheapest way to insure a 1.6 Corsa is to get a Sport.

GSi is generally rated higher.

Smaller engined car converted to 1.6 will probably be even worse.

£1200 sounds very cheap.

When I was looking at quotes it was cheaper for me to insure a Gsi than a Sport. But I went for the sport anyway because theres not many clean Gsi's out there now.

Just buy a sport and make it a Gsi rep

Might be that the GSi is rarer now and don't do as many miles in the hands of people who now own them so they're statistically stronger than Sports which are still used as shopping cars.

I would imagine you have a good postcode in terms of crashes and theft, might be why your insurance is cheap.
