mines being a twat,
the eml keeps coming on randomly and cutting out/massive missfire, it only does it intermitanly like every mile or so .
egr has been removed and blanked
whos gonna have a look ?? and fix

Does the speedo work?

If yes, then it could be the Idle Control Valve or Throttle Position Sensor 9/10

yer normally but when it fucks up it , slowly drops to 0 then goes back to where it should be .

If the speedo drops before it stalls/cuts out then that could be linked.

Just did mine tonight and everytime i came to a stop it cut out.

Check the wiring to the speedo sensor, or check the speedo sensor itself.

exactly thats what i was thinking , would a diagnostic test be able to pic it up cos its only intermitant im thinking it would have to be plugged in at the time of the miss hap ??

its weird the radio will go off and eml will flashup at the same time the speedo needle will start to fall and car will cut out and then restart instantly when driving along

its could be the simple'st of things or it could be the hard'st you never know just get ya head under the bonnet and start having a rummage around the back of the engine where the wiring loom is and see if anything is loose

well the mobile mechanic came out and says that ive got a short on the loom somewhere and its fried the ecu , and he needs to remove the dash to find the shorted out wire, then repair the ecu, for a grand total of 250ish ...... im tight as a bastard so u can guess the door nearly hit his arse as he left the drive way lol.
but hodgy is gonna come up mine on sunday, am gonna take the dash out if a get chance before hand then we can have a look then .

Mine did that map sensor. Also the speed sensor and lamba sensor made my x16xe constantly cut out

thats what i thought, ive changed lamda. am gonna get it plugged in again my a trusted mate sometime next week.
mind the cars got an after market alarm system fitted and its been bodged to fuck theres cables all over the place so there is a possablity that they could have caught something like
