As title says really... I look like a monster truck at the moments as i have put 16" alloys on my corsa B...
1. What will the ride be like just putting 40mm springs on standard shocks? (my standard ones are fine) i dont want a solid ride so when i i hit a little bumb its going to break my back... also i dont want to be bobing around -.- oh and really im just doing it for looks
2. could you send pictures of your 40mm and 16" alloys
3. any makes i should not go for? or do they do the same job at the end of the day?
anymore advise would be nice thanks guys

My mate has the exact thing your asking for
The ride isn't that bad, a bit bouncy on lumpy roads but you can live with it. It will wear your shocks out a lot quicker though...
This is 40mm all round with 16's.
This is the same height but with a full car...
Thats 40 at the front and more like 60 at the back, I think it looks better like that as 40 all round makes it nose dive!

All depends on your roads. you will know when they are truly gone
Nose dive just means that the front end sits lower than the back, it doesn't look even so you go 60mm on the back to even it out. You know what drag racers look like right? Front end is always lower than the back?
It's not that extreme but its noticable!
and at the same wheels and basically same exhaust Looks good though I like it! Do you have a spare centre cap by any chance?

You can get more of an idea with this about the nose dive... This was before the springs had settled.
See the bigger arch gap at the back? Looks shite imo.

16" Wheels & 40mm/60mm Drop - sits well enough - it is in a very stripped out state too.

Yes, indeed we did however the two different cars I posted both had the same owner so the wheels just got swapped

That ride must be so harsh! mines lowered 60mm all round and the ride is so bouncy! Ive got bilstein yellow shockers which are a goood make etc but not mated with 60mm front springs, might invest in some front coilovers!
the GSi looks good, wouldnt wanna drive far in it
