I have a corsa 1.6 sport(x16xe)and thinking of getting rid of the sai pump as i've heard that there is no need for it in this country?it just seems to make the engine run crap when cold.has anyone got any info on this and how to do it?

You need a blanking plate for the exhaust manifold. Think its just a case of ripping it out and blanking the hole. There should be a guide in tutorials
