Its not going too well, have a couple grand but keep wasting it on crap.
Just been offered a share save. 5 years at 1.56 at current theyre about 2 quid i think. Saving 150 each month.
Good idea?
Seems in five years that i will have about half the cash i need from that alone. The best bit is due to a milestone payrise i wont even notice the 150

to be honest - if the company has a good track record of share and dividend growth then put as much in as possible. Obviously don't put all eggs in one basket.
Whos the company?

Put as much in as poss - fundamentals of BT are sound. Serious cash generation, got their pension deficit to a more manageable position, dividend 4.3%

Still would say stick as much in as allowed and let compounding work its magic - don't waste money on crap for a corsa! I've been there - lol

Also theres a big thing with NGext Gen Acces and fiber so I believe share prices should be on the rise, although nothing is certain. Good thing is if they fall I can choose not to buy them and just get my 9k savings.

If you're that serious about the Ferrari, bin the TT and drive something cheaper to own / run / insure to free up more cash!

I'd look at earlier ones, 328 etc - prices already bottomed and will drift up...
cheaper to service too.
Seriously best advice - Invest as much as poss in share scheme. Just buy and hold, be much better off in long term.
All cars are just money pits you never get a return on!

When it breaks you will be sorry. Check ph for owner stories.
Good luck though.

Massively underestimating the running costs IMO.

IIRC it was about 6-8mths ago you said you didn't need a decent car, then you started throwing money at that corsa and have had the TT a good few months.
If you were serious you would have had a low cost running car at most right from the very start.

That's actually surprisingly cheap to be honest.
Only £600 to service a Ferrari 360 would've thought it was a lot more.
