Bored with the focus now, dont like the image of a green ford hatch & its a good time to sell as its not devalued much from when I bought it 10 months ago. I gues sive had my fun & its time to move on.

Options ive been considering.

1. Ive enquired about a 1M coupe, which I can get through a lease deal with my work. Its a full maintenance package tyres, tax the lot for 3yrs. Just recieved an email saying theres a 13week lead time for one as it will be ordered from factory in Germany. So looking Sept in time for new reg.

2. Audi A5 2L Cab S-line, not sure why but I like them & there a bit cheaper, to buy & to run which I guess makes sense with soring costs etc. I guess its the sensible option & I can get pretty much next week if I want.

3. Punt the focus, save up a healthier deposit & buy 911/R8. I guess ive never been in a better position to buy my ultimate car, no dependents etc it could be now or never for that sort of car.........

As usual i'm decisive as ever but you all know that with a bit of guidance & shouting i'm always open to an impulse buy!!!

Your only young once shagger, sell the focus and save a bit for your dream motor. Just buy a decent run about till then.

You'll get between £19k-£22k for the focus so spend around £4k on a good motor and save the rest.

Entering final year of my 20's Eck, not young by a long stretch!!

With option 3. I was going to get a cheap 4x4 to run about in while I save up. Kill another itch ive had in doing so

Then R8 or 911TT once ive got enough to put down.

Dont really need one, I can beg borrow if I need but i'd probably buy something cheaish that I know i'll be able to get the money back out of.

Like buy a 4x4 now cheap with a years mot/tax & sell over winter when theres more demand. Then buy my toy when theres less demand for cheaper!!

If option 3 won't take too long then go for that as long as you're cool with the costs associated with dream cars. I expect you'd get bored of whatever that is within 6-12months anyway

Option 1 is probably a bad idea, because as great as a 1M would be, you'll get bored of it within 3yrs.

mpg doesnt worry me, repairs do, is a 3L diesel a better bet? They do seem to cost more.

buy a car that wont depreciate in the middle..... helps 'save'

A 993 is a good example, and also not a shabby car to have around

I wouldn't get an R8 tho. As expensive and amazing as they probably are, they don't really jump out at me from the next Audi. Would definitely have to have a more prestige badge like a Porsche or something for me to consider it a 'dream car'.

Infact, thinking about it.

How about an E30 M3? Never gonna loose money on one of those and are awsome cars!

Could afford one straight away after selling the RS

Yeah same really, they're really nice cars but I don't look at them as amazing. You see alot of Porsches compared too R8's, but to me a high end Porsche looks nicer coming down the road. Still a damn nice car and 90% of people on here will never own one so I say go for that aslong as it doesn't skint yourself!
