Been thinking about getting one. However my minds playing over time as usual.
Think its fair to pack it off to live elsewhere when i'm not at home for a fortnight at a time???
Elsewhere would be Mates, sisters, grans, parents (Although there not very keen already having a dog) whoevers available really.
When i'm home i'm home for 2-4 weeks at a time & rarely go out for longer than a few hours.

Whats my situation?
Work?
My mate that works 28/28 in Singapore has a dog
Someone would take it in while i'm away. I'm just looking for a house companion I guess, gets a bit lonely up here on your own.

You work off-shore, I don't really need to say any more, surely? You know it's a silly idea, that's why you're asking.

They are really good company and do get you out when you normally wouldnt. Mine sits next to me when i am working from home which is most days; here is is sat next to me at my desk now
But they really are a tie; and would be a big ask on friends and family as they do change your life.
They also get your car bloody hairy!!

I thought about taking one of my dads puppies a little while back. I'm out all morning and afternoon, but back every day at lunch and evenings and weekends.
Top floor flat though, as much as I would like one I think it too cruel.

Ive got a large enough house, decent sized garde huge field at the back of my house, massive park 5mins away. Would be ideal.
Its just the working away think, I dont see it a huge problem having someone look after it on a regular basis.
I think its more cruel the people that leave them locked indoors in the house 9-5 when out at work as I know people do, or in small flats with no garden!!

I'd have thought the dog would like a change of environment, my parents have a dag, old man walks it 3x a day at local woods.
Might be a good thing.

I wouldn't do it as I think it'd be a burden on someone else. They don't have a dog as they don't want one, yet if you ask them to have it they can hardly say no.
If that makes sense.
