Just wondering if its possible ive got a glanza turbo kicking about and wondered if it could be custom fit to the x16xe. If not the glanzs turbo is there any others that could be made to fit

anything can be made to fit.
VXR manifold fits. But then you'd need new piston and higher compression standalone managemant expensee

Corsa vxr turbo bolts right on, but you need to relocate the oil filter
unsure if glanza turbo can be made to fit

why do you need new pistons?
They will be fine aslong as you dont go crazy with the boost.
Get a twin layer headgasket to lower the compression

No point in turbo'ing it if you dont get forged rods + pistons surely!

Boost valve will be doing nothing unless it has been setup properly. I'd say that realisticly more 120/125bhp imo

The dbilas turbo conversion reckon you get 80% extra power or something. Dont know what boost and mods are done to the engine though

right ,
it can be done i have done it and will be doing it again
Used a spacer plate inbetween to normal head gaskets.
Turbo was bolted to a standerd x16xe top half of manifold
Intercooler of a frontera,
Oil pressure switch
5th injecter set up
Turbo was a ihi turbo from a jap car.
It ran at 12 psi ,
And pissed all over a redtop all day,
But i had problems with mine and needs tweaking alot before its ran proper boost.
but yeah it can be done

When running a decomp spacer doesnt it put more strain on the cambelt as obviously the cam pulleys are higher than standard.
Wouldnt it even put the timing out slightly?

Low compression pistons are readily available for the x16 from wossner - a much better alternative to spacer plates and double headgaskets...
