Biggest trick is to take stuff before the onset of symptoms, with water.

I have Fexofenadine prescribed and it's good - although less effective if you drink fruit juice, which may also be the case for other tablets.

ps. Beconase nasal spray used to work wonders for me. Quick snort couple of times a day and I'd have much reduced symptoms.

Try before bed, they'll still be working during the morning which means you shouldn't get the symptoms as bad.

usually just start taking a daily tablet around start of april, just to build it up, if i get bad through the day (which aint happened yet) usually use the nasal spray. .

my mate swears by those light things you stick up your nose for a few mins a day dunno how well they work though

I said about the injection at our docs and apprently there isn't one...

I'm on some homeopathic things at the moment, can't overdose on them, they work ok-ish.

Could probbly do with the prescribed things. Doesnt help being a postman! 3 - 5 walking around outside!

Best over the counter I have found is Sainsburys own Hayfever & Allergy relief containing Cetirizine hydrochloride, works a treat and only £1 per 14 tablets.

Beconaise. Start at the end of April and you'll be alright all summer. Can get it on prescription which is margianally cheaper than over the counter.

i used to have to use tablets, nose spray and eye drops, now i just take a tablet every day, still get itchy eyes when the pollen count is high. apparently your immune system can alter every 10 years (ish) so things people suffer from with allergies will eventually go away... im still waiting anyway
