For once it will be interesting to see the paint depth gauge reading for this. Dont they have a really thin layer of paint?

Yeah, can see the texture of the carbon beneath the paint.
It was the same for the F1 car my bro detailed though, so it should be no problem.

They have two paint depth gauges. One for metals and one for plastics. I'm sure the one for plastics will work on this.

Not the kind of vehicle I would want to advertise sitting in the workshop over night!
If the paint is original F40. It's bloody thin. I painted a front end on one and the DA went straight truugh to the carbon on it.
