Was bored last night at work so filled in a call back form to get an insurance quote with them as I've never tried them before.
They just rang me and quoted over £5k! Safe to say I won't be taking out a policy with them and we both laughed on the phone.
I dont understand how they work it out tbh.
20 Year old
0NCB
Driving for 4 years on and off.
Car mainly used for work and kept in a secure car park while I'm there, then put in the garage when I get home.
I could understand I i was a spotty 17 year old with a corsa and a cherry bomb exhaust
But i have a private rented house with my partner and 18 mont old son, and i work 50-60 hours a week.
Makes me laugh how they quote so much.

Car is a Peugeot 306 dturbo btw.

Your under 21 and have no NCB. I'm guessing they don't want to inside you so offer a process that you would never dream of accepting.

Untill last year they have beaten everyone by far. But it depends on an insurance companies criteria vs your details.

TBH i tihnk you should have an interview with insurance companies, as it is just stereotyping over the phone going by details i reckon.

You can't have been driving 4 years legally to start with. 0 NCB, have you had claims or just never completed a full years insurance before cancelling?

Flux are a broker, they have a panel of insurers who they get rates from and so this is what they can offer you.

At the end of the day we can all find someone who offers us a high quote!

Yeah just heard good things about them so thought they were worth a try. Been driving on n off for 4 years, different peoples cars and my own but never completed a full years insurance, hence having 0ncb. Never had an accident or anything just didn't stay a full year insured.

If you are 20 how have you been driving for 4 years? I'm just a bit lost on that one.

To be fair Flux were always cheapest for my track 206 that I had and that was with Equity Red Star.

Plenty of insurers out there, keep trying them and see what they have to offer.

IIRC, Flux gave me a pretty good quote for my 206 but Brentacre were cheaper so I went with them.
