I'm selling my Chris boardman bike on the bay at the moment and had a huge response after only 12 hours.

One person has made me a good offer but has asked me does the rear shock lock out what does this mean?

Exactly that. Does it have a lever or dial on it that if you turn it stops the rear suspension from working as easily. You tend to use it when on a road as otherwise all your energy goes through the suspension instead of through the pedals to the wheel.

What is the exact bike? That looks like it just adjusts the suspension settings rather than turns it off completely.

This an example of rear shock with lockout, the blue lever is the lockout "switch"

lockout is a switch as pictured above which stops the suspension unit from moving. Basically you can turn a full suspension bike into a hard tail to help with climbs by flicking the switch. Do you have the make and model of the shock? A quick search on google might confirm it for you but looking at the picture you posted the black lever on the left looks like it could be a lockout lever

Ok, I had a look and it seems like it comes with a Rock Shox Monarch 3.1 damper. It doesn't have lockout. All I found where a lot of people complaining about this shock leaking air but apparently its a manufacturing issue which rock shox have addressed

I can't see ebay at work. If it's a team like it says in the link then it doesn't have rear lockout.

It's not got a mark on it apart from dust lol.

I've been offered the full asking price but I think I might be short changing myself due to the amount of interest and the number of watchers I have.
