when applying for certain jobs is it best to re arrange your cv to gear it towards the job your after? or does that look obvious and best to leave it general ?

depends really, i have done in the past, but also have sent a general cv but used a covering letter to highlight the bits in the Cv i wanted them to read.

Google will be your friend but things like 'as you can see from my cv I've had experience here and there' also never make your cv to long, three pages max.

Take into account though that your CV is usually only looked at for around 20-30 seconds, so make it stand out.

Yes, definetely tailor your cv to the particular job. Who cares if it looks obvious, if they ask you about the job specific things and you're able to give them good answers you're going to be the one for the job
