I quite like my VTS (Pretty much the same)
Nippy, or fast dependant on what you've had before.
Handle well, doesnt take much to get them looking nice.
Done 1k in mine in the 6 weeks i've had it on the road, idles a bit rough but seems to be a common fault.
I would prefer a 106 on looks but i didnt have much choice at the time.

How would you compare them (speed wise) to a 206 GTi?
I have a 206 now but thinking of getting a 106 GTi next year.

A 106 gti would pull like a train away from a stripped out corsa xe.
9 pages.

engines are solid, you want to watch out for the gearbox and rear axles

I like them, but would never own one due to how unsafe they are in a crash. Expecially wathcing the NCAP vid where it just bends in half!
...and the fact its French.

a corsa will bend in half aswell, hardly the safest car on the road.
engines do seem fine, most mates have driveshaft/gearbox issues more so

Down own a Corsa, but I would class them alot better then a Saxo/106.
