I have got a c20se r, not many of the engines around they where in the astra gte mk2 (500 of them ) when i bought the engine it came with a standard ecu and loom from the astra, from a read up you cant use the astra loom as there is wires missing and no fuel pump relay.
i was wondering if anyone has done this or have a link to a project of someone who has?
Im thinking i can use the c20seh loom and ecu ? as it has no lambda same as the c20ser

cheers

its the same base as a c20seh ( 8v )
here is a list of the 2.0 engine available

C20NE (115BHP)
20SE (123BHP) - Rare as fook
20SEH (130BHP)
C20XE ("red-top" - 150BHP) - F18 or F20 5-speed
20XE (156BHP)
C20LET (Turbo - 204BHP) - F28 4x4 5-speed X20XEV (135 BHP) - F18 5-speed
C20SER (135 BHP) - F18 or F20 5-speed

taken from another website, i know the comperssion ratio is different as is the cames,
i just need to find out which loom i can use and what car to get it from as there is not alot of gte's around.

Calibra / cav sri maybe ?

Why T?

If your thinking about a turbo 8v then no.

The first letter refers for the emissions iirc. The number for displacement then I can't remember the rest apart from T is turbo and H is turbo also, I think.

This a giude in every total vauxhall.

yea if you dont mind mate, i have found out that an ne loom and ecu will not work due to having a lambda sensor and the c20seh / ser has not got one.

So according to that your SER has an increased output somehow.

Also, nobleone, earlier GTEs were 8v's.

good information to have that, i wonder what the increased output actually is hopefully once i find a loom and ecu i can give it a blast down the airstrip and see what happens

Increased output is supposedly a different cam and therefore a different ecu/map. An se can and ecu should see it running.
