The "What car if you earned 100/150K p.a" thread got me thinking about the cost of living in different places and more importantly the property prices.

So what size of property could you get in your area for £400k?

Please post your area/county and a link to an example of property.

Valid point, within half a mile of my flat, you would pay £400k for the 2 bed flat I posted. Go half a mile down the road and you can get a 3 bedroom house.

Also I've just learnt how much property you can get up north (scotland etc) for so cheap! Shame it's so cold and full of scottish people / haggis / heroin (I've never been so my assumptions are driven from Trainspotting)
