Right, you fools who went to Chester the other week. Where is good to go? I know people were being foolish and didn't get in places but what are the places to go?

Me and my mate are going for a trip tomoz so need to know the hotspots.

Look for a night called slomo or uberlube, got a few friends in Chester, cool kids, one of them is involved in them nights and he seems to have a lot of fit female mates so that's where they probably go, music will be deep disco type house though. Lovely place, had an awesome Sunday roast there last week at a pub called red house iirc, Danny from mcfly was in with his family.

I've always been told bad things about Cruise bar and is it Rosies Bar - but that's from locals. I think they attract a lot of younger generations!

It depends what your looking for? places like bar lounge and duttons are nice but I think the races are on again tomorrow so especially bar Lounge will be busy as thats one of the first places from the races

Slug and lettauce is nice aswell

Oh and platinum Lounge is just around the corner if you want a strip club hahaha

Depends what your cup of tea is. For the more 'upmarket'end of town then Duttons (by the cathedral) and a few places nearby are nice.
There's a bar sort of opposite the entrance to Duttons, it used to be called Joe's Wine Bar (but isn't now which doesn't help much) that is usually rammed to the rafters with some top quality flange.
Far end of town Wetherspoons, Revolution etc a good laugh but not as 'posh'.
Queens Head (opposite Wetherspoons) is a clam jouster's favourite as my missus found out to her shock and surprise one night!
Rosies's is o.k I suppose but Cruise is the place to be these days.
Take note though Cruise and The Pitcher & Piano opposite are full of snobs who they are great.
Off The Wall just down from Cruise isn't too bad and there's loads of other alehouses in town.

*Warning: it's races weekend. This means all the pubs will be chocka with two bob arseholes in cheap suits who want to fight you and everyone else they see.
The flip side is there'll be loads of good looking pissed up bints around to weigh up/chat up/whatever.
Take my tip: stay away from the railway station end of town (Foregate St) until later on or you'll be caught up with all the wankers making their way back to the railway station.

*If you're Welsh try Bar 6-T-9 in Boughton, Chester, just outside of the city centre. They seem to only really cater for the great unwashed Taffies over the border.



*Edit: Carl, the Red House is by the river, bit far out of town for a city centre pub crawl but well worth a visit.
