thats the basic package price yeah.
It depends if you want just sp1 or all 4 channels. when i took it, they said most of the footy is on sp1 so i only took that channel as it was cheaper

Last season they put loads of live football on Sky Sports 2, because you can buy them seperately I imagine and they don't just want people getting Sky Sports 1.

customer loyalty usually comes into play with most thing like phone contracts etc when you talk to customer service when youve been with a company and paying them for 6+ years over £60 a month and never missed a payment surely you should be entitled to a little more then new customers bit of a bonus if you dont ask you dont get so if i get money off happy days if not all they can say is no

I work in mobiles mate, you get fuck all nowadays for being loyal.
99% of the time will get a better deal being a new customer. Same goes for car insurance

i paid £85.60 a month for sky mate so they are ripping their customers off big time. ended up ditching sky sports and movies, now down to 50 a month.
ridiculous really.
and yes, last season they had loads of football on SS2 so i got fucked over after taking out just SS1.

I misread what you said, didn't realise you already have sky
Just about to quote bens post so have a read of that, although you normally tend to get the better deal if you have sky sports and wish to cancel it, not taking it out in the first place

£85.60 a month? what does that include, surely sports, movies and phone line?
I paid £66 a month, that was for full sky sports, espn, and HD, i have cancelled my HD (waste of money imo) and espn, and wanted to cancel the sports as well, instead they offered me my current package for £21 a month for 6 months, so i get the basic package with a couple of the £1 extra packs, and sky sports for £21
£86 is a lot, must have been everything imagineable?

My Brother - in - Law used to ring up every so often saying he was thinking of cancelling Sky or Sky Sports as it was too expensive, and they'd always put him through to another department "Customer Services" known on the inside as Customer Retention, and he'd get offered half price Sky Sports for 6 months etc etc to keep the business.
Although last time he rang and said he wanted to cancel and they called his bluff and did it. I would have just said i'd changed my mind and didn't want to cancel afterall but he bottled it and went through with it!
