As im exploring diffetent options for my car i was think about throttle bodies today and was hoping someone could shed some light on them. Ive seen a few vidros on ebay and they seem to give decent gains if set up cortectly. How much are they? Do they come in a kit with everything ? Any help is good.

mates can supply, fit and map jenveys for £2k.

cheapest option are bike carbs tbh, still get virtually the same peak power, but obv with tbs being injection you gain more mid range driveability

Generally for most cars thats the price. Depends on what management is used sometimes, others are easier to map with than others, so can affect the cost.

For example cheaper management could mean longer to map, so works out more expense than the dearer management.

id like to see an xe run a genuine 230bhp on a stock bottom end. 200-205 is max with stock pistons due to the limited lift you can run cam wise.

and alot of lads who had big power LETs have all gone back to xe's on carbs or tbs anyway, lets are only good in a straight line or a properly sorted car...corsa's are crap for big power lets other than straights

Point and squrt with a let, awesome tho. Im looking at bike carbs and a really good handling set up. Be alot cheaper than TB's from what ive seen.

I've got the SBD 208 set up, it's got instant useable power which is great for track, a lot of people have said you should turbo it, if I wanted a LET I would of bought one, and gone drag racings which is pretty boring.
