£7500
try going direct to flux, ecar or endsliegh
feel for you pal
my first policy wasn't really my policy, signed the car over to the lasses mothers name, she was the main driver and i was the additional (could only drive 3/4 days a week), only problem is they forgot to tell us they cancelled on us as she failed to provide proof of NCB (wich they didnt ask for) and i drove around for 7 month unaware i wasn't insured. shocking

Quinn direct were cheapest for me when i first passed.
It could also be your postcode area. My cousin was doing quotes for a 1litre micra and everyone wanted 8k+, i done one for him, everything the same apart from i used my address and it went straight down to around 2.5-3k. Still expensive but it did make a major difference.
