the old dears just this minute dropped her phone and smashed the screen. can anyone point me in the direction of which part i need to replace? theres no image distortion and it stil registers a touch so it can be used but the top glass is smashed

That's the bit you need I think, but not that one as it's for a Desire Z not a Desire

id say thats not the screen thats just the digitiser for the touch screen

I sort of thought the LCD was fine but just wasn't sure if that felt screen (the bit you actually touch) was a special part or just a pane of glass over the top
