i know that everone says that anything is possible but i dont think this is posible or gonna be easy opinoins please.

i may have the option to get my hands on a honda civic VTI engine and was thinking of doing a corsa Vtec just wondering if this has ever been done i know there ill be a complication with the fact the gearbox is ment to be the opposate side to the corsa and id need to get custom drive shafts im just wondering if the corsa would be able to handle the engine when engaging Vtec as this engine is runing around the 220 BHP i think it would be amazing to do a corsa Vtec opinions please

If a corsa can handle a C20LET or V6 For all the 220bhp of Vtec Yo! Power you have no where near the amount of torque. So yes it would handle it.

from what i have looked at my bigest problem would be the gear box as they sit on the oposet side if im not mistaken and i know id need custom shafts, mounts and loom but unshur wether i could just mod the loom from the VTI onto my corsa loom and im thinking of what wireing would need to be done cos of clocks and heating ext my head hirts i just realy wanna do somthing different

Gearbox would be down to some clever workings with a custom linkage, after all the gear stick in a civic or whatever is in the middle of the car same as any other. sure you would be able to use that. Shafts would possibly have to be custom, or measured against corsa ones.

lol it more when i start to push the BHP up of the vtec and when it engajes thre is things to be taken into account as it says on mig as it is a sudern burst of power unlike what a typical vauxhall engine is like iv seen threds of peaopl planing and starting this but never seen one of it up running and finished im just after a bit of advise realy cos i dont intend on leaving the engine at the power it is at i want more from it

if your that concerned just use a chassis strengthening kit on the front, also dont fit it to a rotten engine.

If 4-500bhp c20lets are fine in a corsa, i think 220hp vtec will be fine

If you feel you cant do it, or dont think you will have the money too, then it probably isnt the best idea.
