copule of things to check.
wear in the shocker top mounts ( seem to be made from cheese )
if the windows have had a warranty regulator repair done on them. if not, you can expect either a repair to the connector or a large bill for a new motor some time in the future

2 mates have one.
Tie rods, strut tops & heatshield rattles are amongst the main problems, and window regulators failing.
One is sitting at 270bhp with a milltek/decat & rs tuning map.
Have driven it =

My sister has the 1.5dci and to be honest I dont like the back of it, but end of the day if your driving it your not going to see the back. i test drove one a while back at a local dealer and it felt quick in standard form.

Have an R26.
Immense machine, amazing handling full stop. It's what the car is all about and power delivery is really good for a 2.0t I thought.
All in all a great car, if you can live with the usual french car things like annoying rattles etc. Build quality seems good enough so far though.
And as above bargain for what you get.

I have nearly purchased two of them I was put off by a slipping clutch on one and came back to dealer and he pissed me off so I didn't buy it. Was £13.5k. 6months later I went back had one that was 1year older with lux pack for £9.5k.
Wouldn't buy one till they have dropped.

I had a f1 for over a year! Awesome car! Only thibg went wrong was engine mount! Brakes tyres were stupidly are are stupid ( but i dont think normal 225 have brembos??) 30 mpg without goin on motorway just drivin steady achievable! Mint cars only sold it due to stupid insurance costs!

Lovely cars, amazing handling. Wouldn't ever spend my own money on one though as I cant get my head round the looks and the depreciation.

It WILL break. Great to drive etc etc, but it WILL break and cost you a fortune. When i see someone driving one i instantly assume they are stupid.
