Yeah rev counter is central to the steering wheel and it has a digital speedo out in the middle of it. Perfect to look at without having to hardly take your eyes off the road.

You never look at the big speedo in the middle cos it takes your eyes too far from the road, bit dangerous. Mine only has the needle on the outer edge because it has Sat Nav, the non sat nav have the whole of that bit as a speedo, looks really naff.

I really like the Nav screen graphics, agree that the standard version looks a bit crap. That said, when I test drove one it still felt pretty natural, I thought it would be awkward looking sideways but it was ok.

I can't do it Andy and I've had it 6 months now. My Audi also had a digital speedo in the middle behind the steering wheel too so I will be used to it from that.

Yeah. i love the digi speedo in the Audi.

When I drive the wifes car I never know how fast i'm going as a speedo dial throws me completley lol.

goes pretty well though. although when i drove the normal cooper s i wasnt that impressed but thats a different car.

Yeah digi speedos are good once you get used to them, although cant get a sense of speed in videos if you have the camera looking at them

Never driven a Cooper S, my cousins got one but never been in it when its been driven fast. Did have a bit of a go against an S a couple of days ago and left it comfortably.

Was a 53 Cooper S I drove, whilst I liked the supercharger whine the rest of the car was a bit meh.

I expected it to feel special, and in the end it just felt a bit of a rough ride and not that quick. Might be cos it was old though

Not been in an R53 but I know they don't have a reputation for being well made or reliable.

I should get a similar chav video in mine for comparison (I'm pretty sure mine is slower ) but it does worry me slightly posting such vids on YouTube these days!
