I've got a collection of tools I don't need/want anymore and looking through eBay, two of the saw benches I have (70s/80s old school flat bed type) are going for upwards of £500 - I thought they were worth little more than scrap being so old and everything's in good working order.
Where is the best place to sell something like that?

I sold an empty toolbox on Gumtree earlier this year, didn't take long to sell and I got what I asked.

I have this exact one but on a Dewalt stand
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dewalt-Radial-Arm-Saw-Chop-Saw-Cross-Cut-Bench-Saw-/150652207148?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item231392402c

Have you got any decent local auctioneers? At the one I worked at, we used to have special sales every so often, where it would just be a room full of tools/machines.
TBH, they would go in the normal sales room too, but audience might not be as good.

Old woodworking machinery keeps it's value really well, especially if it's old school heavy cast stuff. Most of the new machinery is much lighter with lots of ally and plastic and they are nothing like as hard wearing or reliable, the fences and beds go out really easily and bits break off for fun. Only thing is they need updating to meet modern regs with brakes fitted and the like.
Do you have a machinery place nearby that would take them off your hands and refurb them to sell?
