Not that close really was it, could have walked across it casually and not been hit. He obviously looked first before he rammed through the barriers as he slowed down considerably, also knowing the Police would never follow. Stupid yes, very.

but in doing that the car could got tangled and stalled or summat its not as if he did 50 mph through it

i nearly got hit by the barrier once in the corrado, i went as it starting coming down, the 2nd barrier missed the roof by about an inch as i jumped the car off the raised bit
