Not had any issues like that on my missus' ones. Out of interest, how much did you pay for them, may be worth selling them separatly to the car

ive been told the genuine ones can for for 300 - 400 in good nick with good tyres

ive bought some recently refurbed reps with good tyres for £200 - they look just as good and theres no difference to the eye - probably heavier though

common on all wheels with a machine finish that has been lacquered over

Range Rover Wheels and the new 997 Turbo wheels both do it on a occasion aswell

One stone chip in the lacquer for water to get in the machined aluminium underneath reacts/corrodes and then leaves a toothpaste kinda mark

although a company called lepsons can refurb them for £60 a wheel i think and they come back looking new

might be worth investing in a lacquer touchup paint and keep my eye open for chips etc

cant they be left unlaqcuered?
