All,

What are the things to look for, i.e Corsa specific apart from the usual?

Thanks

The engines in our work vans are a bit tappy. Not on all of them though so I would say that's something to look for.

Also one or two of them seem to hesitate when on light throttle.

Other than that though, good engine, pretty nippy and not horribly noisy

Some reasons would be nice

The corsa has slightly more torque and bhp with 1 mpg less then the clio at 64 mpg and the clio with 65.

Only good thing I can see with the clio is that it's a few kg less.

i get about 80miles to a tenner in my 1.3 combo van so should imagine the car would get another 5miles. quite nippy and you can get the plug in box for them to get more power if you get bored

EGR's blocking up, dual mass flywheels..

I think they are a horrible little engine personally. They are supposed to do good mpg though.

extremely common for inlet manifolds and EGR valves blocking/clogging up and alternators die just for the fun of it, dual mass flywheels go sometimes especially when tuned and timing chains tap like fuk on some if the engines not looked after with oil changes etc
to be fair and from the many ive been in at work because i see alot of these as i work for suzuki and its the same engine in the suzuki swift DDiS you'll either get a good nice to drive one or a really flat hesitant powerless dog lol
