Our spare car, Ford Focus, mot is due on monday, however its a car we generally use take rubbish up the tip so its full of shite and old metal including a spare gearbox of mine on the back seat
im going to empty all the shite out up the tip, but the gearbox i cba to move because it will involve driving it all the way over to my grandads to store it in the garage.
if i leave it on the back seat is it a fail? this will probably render testing the one side rear seat belt impossible or difficult, is that a fail or will they just write down unable to test that belt

When the other half bought her corsa, there was an advisory with the MOT saying unable to test near side seat belt due to child seat fitted.
Cant you just take it out and leave it at your house for the day?

I don't understand why you can't take it out for the test and just leave it on your driveway?

Why wouldn't you just take it out and then put it back after the MOT?

obviously just take it out and put it in the garage or a safe place for as long as needs be. I dont understand why you just didnt think of this? why is it an absolute necessity that its on the back seat lol

They aren't allowed to remove child seats due to safety reasons of refitting it correctly.
If you have a child seat fitted they will advise belt not tested due to child seat fitted.
If you have a car full of shit and covering the back seats they will fail it on not being able to test seatbelt, same as if you had seats down and bike in the boot thats a fail.
