If someone breaks into your house, it should be a free for all imo.

disgusting. hope the judge recognises that he defended his on house and lets him off, and gives him some compensation aswell.

you can't start saying you would do this/that in this situation because it's just instinct at the time. no need for jackie chans in this thread.

Im all for killing theifs in your own home. I not sure id do it, but ive never been in that situation, and hopefully wont.

If the law was clear, id probably 100% attempt to kill or injure one, but at the moment, id rather let them take what they like and be at home with my missus and little boy every night, than getting locked up for 10+ years

Problem is lads if this type of thing goes without punishment then we will end up like South Africa were people kill people and drag them into there house and say they were being burgled.

Again it brings up the case of how it seems illegal to defend your own home. Granted we dont know what happened that caused the intruder to die from stab wounds but like fowk say - if he hadnt broken in he wouldnt be dead

No case to answer to IMO. They guy should be interviewed and then released within hours and then praised for his actions of defending his family.

If you break into a house then you should expect someone could injure or kill you.
