just heard this on the wireless while out for lunch, apparantely a 6 tonne satellite, the size of a double decker bus is hitting earth today.

They don't know where, so could be anyone, 1 in 300,000 chance of it hitting someone, quite small really, just shows how hard the lottery is to get right

14,000,000 to 1 for a specific person to win the lottery, the odds of someone winning the lottery are vastly shorter. Otherwise there would be 14,000,000 draws on average between lottery winners.

I think of it as, 'somebody' covers more of the world than just you, so if you work on area, it's alot more likely to hit somebody in the world, than just you as you cover a much smaller area of the world
