i have one of these accounts. used my breakdown cover on saturday, they give you a special number for just ultimate reward users to contact AA on, also its based on the person not the car so as long as your in the car you can recover any car, you have to register your phone with halifax for the mobile insurance.

No need to regiser for breakdown, you are automatically covered in any car.

You need to give them your imei number for.phone insurance. Number is on halifa x.website.

AA Breakdown Cover - Call 08000 51 22 48 You're automatically registered

Mobile phone insurance - Call 08451 24 14 00 or +44 (0) 1495 281 297 if overseas Register your mobile phone online or call 08451 24 14 00

Shit was getting excited there, i'm just on the normal "reward" one, I think the "ultimate reward" gives you less interest or something...i'm sure there is some catch.

the catch is you pay £15 a month (£5 back when you pay in £1k or more per month). so £10.

Worth it if you're overdrawn all the time though as you get £300 interest free overdraft, if you don't have the interest free you'll get charged £1 per day for the privledge of using one.

That's the main reason I went to the Ultimate account, although the breakdown cover I know now about is also good!

the breakdown cover also includes home start now which is a nice touch. used to only cover 2 miles+ from your home.

Good account, worth baring in mind if you have an iphone you pay £100 excess. Other accounts will shortly be launched with various other benefits and monthly prices.

TBH the breakdown on TSB is wank. All the times i have broken down it was not a flat tyre that i cant chance or run out of fuel. It was headgasket or slipped cam belt. they would only 10 miles. 99% of the time i was well over and had to slip the AA man £10 to get me home. Better off just taking stand alone. Phone isurance is good. Claimed on that 12mths ago and no issues.
