The guy selling these says the lot came out of a 1997 16v shell, he's sure it'll all go in my 1993 8v car.
Just looking for clarification,
Thanks

The type 2 mount? As in the one he's selling? And you mean the front engine mount and the gearbox mounts will be fine?

Gearbox mount you use your standard one, and there is 2 parts to the drivers side engine mount - the chassis part and the engine part. You just use the engine part on the 8v shells

Oh and the rear gearbox mount/plate fits both 8 and 16v shells the same, sometimes you dont even need the spacer plate

On a 8v shell you'll use the mount that bolts to the block, use your front gearbox mount, and your rear mount with the spacer. Along with the extended gear linkage.

you dont neceserally need the extended gear linkage, im not running one on my 1.4 16v shell... plus i think the 8v shells have different fuel line connectors so this will need a bit of a fettle...
