hi just about til redtop my corsa and i cant find any 2nd hand shafts and i cant aford new so iam thinkin about makeing my own, has anyone done this, will they last cheers

you will crash it before the shafts have time to snap.

lots of people weld drive shafts, unless you can get them bang on tho i wouldnt bother, as near enough isnt good enough

Have made loads of welded shafts for grass trackers.
You need to turn a sleeve to a perfect fit so you can slide the cut ends into so the run true.
Not a simple thing to do if you have not got a lathe or a very good welder.
Plus IF welded right then they shouldnet snap.

Fusion weld them tbh. Can't see it been that expensive

Old friend who does XE conversions welds the shafts.Never had any issues with mine and hes never had issues with any others hes done.Even had them on his LET Corsa without problems.

He used to weld them at the CV joint.Cut right around the CV joint at the highest radial point then weld the required CV joint on.

am making the shafts up for my corsa cause i have to am welding them aslong as they have been sleeved you will be dead on.

just use corsa gsi sport 22spline shafts they dont cost much pretty sure ud get them in most scrappys aswell
