Hi i was wondering what sort of power gains people have got from de cating a corsa especially a 1.6 16v as thats the car in question. Thanks

on mine in combination with a 4-2-1 manifold it seems to pick up the rev much quicker from 3k onward, but i have a 1.4 8v SRi

no, not much gain, other than ear ache from the slighht increase in noise and the legal side of decatting

Didnt notice much difference doing mine. Sounds nicer without it though and more ground clearance which is always handy

depends on the rest of the system imo. mine wasnt raspy til i done away with the centre silencer and it is now


also would like to add, not sure about fuel consumption gains as mine had a de-cat on when i got it but it seems cheaper to run than the 1.2 16v with a cat i used to own

Mine doesn't rasp, Again it sounded better IMO, although it did make it a bit louder. Mine is a sportex cat back, No centre silencer.

One upside is if you only put it in for MOT's the cat will last longer

Edit: Cat don't affect MPG
