Can a car be Taxed off a day insurance,

And no I don't plan on driving uninsured, just might have to keep my track car road legal and I don't want to be paying 500 a year insurance for it to sit on the drive

No you can't.

Due to that new law aswell it's now illegal to do what you are wanting. The only people that i can see that new law affecting are the people in the exact same position as yourelf.

Thought that was the case. What's Paul J doing with the Integra ? Or Ian with his abundance of corsa's ?

All Ian's cars are sorn, bar the Astra and Disco obviously. I know Paul drove the Integra to Combe earlier this year so I'm guessing that's insured all year round.

It really was a stupid law to bring in, utterly pointless apart from more insurance premium tax towards the government

Correct.

Rule is very silly though, as yes if you take the tax off and SORN it, you then can't really sell it without a day out with your new buyer to the Post Office as I had to do.

Issue with insurance is also that as a modified car it'll be more difficult anyway.

In respect of the original question, tax all year but just insure for the days out, nope, you'll get fined for the periods that it's uninsured even if you did manage to tax it.

Yes I had a look into it afterwards..

I'm not paying 1k+ for a car I don't want to use anywhere but the track, so i'll just offer someone local cash to borrow flatbed transit. I'm on trade insurance with work, but It only covers me on vehicles insured by the owner
