I'm wanting to create a signature in Outlook 2010 with a Twitter icon. When you click the icon for this to take you to the twitter page.
I've not touched html for years so help muchly appreciated.

Not hard if you use the signature editor that's built in? Just click the insert image button, which you could have pulled off a server remotely then click that image and click the hyperlink button.

You can pull them from Twitter from here, directly: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/image-resources - then do as Brett says using the signature editor.
