blacked backed pressed plates are only legal on cars made before 1971 (date could be wrong though but its around then)

Bodykits are a crime, just not in the eyes of the law.
As for a number plate, you should get a 10" pressed black one that's back to front. May as well do it right if you're wanting a fine.

french font, pressed metal, reflective but illegal as they didn't have any markings or the correct font.
as you can see, small subtle difference to uk font, got pulled over but never got questioned about the plates.
